As technology partner, SolMateS OTPICS provides R&D, material analysis and feasibly studies to improve and analyse polymer optics. These global activities are carried out for large and medium sized companies.
R&D
To enhance polymer optics SolMateS OPTICS has an in-house deposition facility and access to a wide range of laboratory facility. This enables fast prototyping of and the characterization of optical components such as lensens and mirrors. Various substrates with
sizes varying from 5x5mm up to 200mm in diameter can be coated.
Analysis
To characterize optical properties and coating quality, dedicated equipment is used to determine the reflectivity at 0°, 30° and 45° as well as the transmission. These optical thin film properties are key characteristics for the performance of the optical components.
Consultancy and simulations
To ensure that coating solutions enhance optical performance SolMateS OPTICS supports with feasibility studies. On the basis of our thorough analysis and simulations customers can decide to continue a certain track or take a different route. This can mean that we will advice you to use thin films produced by others or our own deposition tool. These economical as well as technological feasibility studies will be presented in readable and short presentations.
