Our main activity as service partner is research and development. We provide R&D, material analysis as well as feasibly studies to improve products and processes. In R&D projects new or improved products are fabricated and tested using our skills and knowledge in micro- and nanotechnology. New or improved products are realized by adding for example antibacterial, anti-fog, bio compatible, wear resistant or UV-protective coatings. SolMateS presents, produces and tests potential solutions.

State of the art R&D facilities
To find, test and evaluate products SolMateS has an extensive set R&D tools. Besides a variety of analysis and deposition tools, SolMateS has access to a cleanroom with photolithography, a construction-shop and an extensive chemical lab. In a R&D project  a prototype is often built to proof the principle and determine the economical and technological feasibility.  Feel free to contact us for more information.

Co-development
SolMateS is often part of the innovation cycle of new products and processes. We can facilitate the complete innovation cycle, from the feasibility phase, idea, testing and proof of principle phase up to low-volume production. This innovation process is often done in close collaboration with your specialists to combine different fields of expertise.
