SolMateS has several in-house facilities to coat objects. SolMateS is able to provide different metallic and oxide coatings on inorganic and organic substrates. Organic substrates are for example PMMA, polycarbonate or zeonix. Besides coating polymers a wide variety of inorganic substrates can be coated such as metals and single crystals(SrTiO3, MgO, Si, Si3N4, Al2O3,...). On these substrates thin films can be deposited with a thickness ranging betwee 1-5000nm. To coat surfaces several deposition techniques are available such as:
- Dipping
- Sol-gel
- Spin coating
- Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD)
- Sputter deposition
Pulsed Laser Deposition is often used by SolMateS to quickly find and test new coating solutions.
