To find, test and evaluate products SolMateS has an extensive set of R&D and Analysis FacilitiesBesides a variety of analysis and deposition tools, SolMateS has access to a cleanroom with photolitography, a construction-shop and an extensive chemical lab. Process to create super-hydrophobic surfaces
We have a process solution to deposit  a super-hydrophobic coating. This ultra thin coating can for example be applied in microfluidic MEMS-devices such as micro-pumps and micro-valves. Contact angles >100° can be reached on various surfaces. Contact us for more specifications. 

Process to deposit piezoelectric thin films on 4-6" wafers
A variety of substrates and wafers such as sapphire, silicon and silicon nitride can be coated with our process technology. The business unit SolMateS PIEZO has a solution to deposit customized PZT thin films and electrodes with a thickness between 20nm towards 3μm. Contact us for more details.


Industrial process to deposit anti-reflective coatings on polymer optics
SolMateS Optics offers the ability to enhance or decrease the reflectivity on a variety of polymer optics such as PMMA, PET, Zeonex, E48R and Polycarbonate. Currently we offer customized wide band, narrow band, high reflection, anti-reflection V-coat and W-coatings. All have a good adhesion and thermal resistance.
